Castor MN invites LGBTQ+ elders and aging solo community members to a vibrant evening of connection and celebration. Held at Queermunity Collaborative, this dinner event is part of our growing senior programming and reflects our commitment to building inclusive, affirming spaces for older adults.
Whether you’re looking to expand your circle, reconnect with community, or simply enjoy a delicious meal in good company, this event is for you. This event is designed to reduce social isolation, spark new friendships, and celebrate the joy of aging in community. Whether you’re aging solo or surrounded by chosen family, you’ll leave with new connections and a full heart.
The Experience:
Mingling & Appetizers (4:00 PM) – Start the evening with relaxed conversation and small bites.
Speed-Friending (4:30 PM) – Connect with fellow seniors in a fun, structured way to meet new friends.
Dinner Service (5:30 PM) – Enjoy a delicious meal catered for 125 attendees. * Bar available for purchase
Dessert & Dance Party (6:00 PM - 7:00 PM) – Cap off the night with sweet treats and music, with Queermunity’s sound system providing the vibes.

Parking and Transit Info
Street Parking: Park on or south of 31st St., on Holmes, Humboldt, or Irving Ave. There’s usually ample free or metered street parking within a block of Queermunity. Meters are $2/hour.
Ramp Parking: We offer discounted parking validation for 7 Points ramp at Hennepin and 31st, behind the mall across from Queermunity. Enter from Lake Street or 31st. Validation stickers are 2 hours for $3, and anything over 2 hours is $6. Park in the lot and purchase your sticker at the cafe.
ADA Parking: Vehicles with disability plates or certificates can park for free in the surface lot next to 7 Points Ramp (entrance off 31st St.) as well as most meters on 31st St. These spots are about 100 ft. from the Queermunity front door.
Public Transportation: We are just a few blocks south of the Uptown Transit Station, which is serviced by these routes: 6, 12, 17, 21, 23, 53, 114, 115, & 612. In particular, the 6 and 23 stop just feet from our door, on the corner of 31st
Bike Parking is available on the wall inside the entrance and ample traditional bicycle parking racks are available on the sidewalk in front of the building.
